Samantha is a Calgary-based lawyer whose practice focuses on employment law and general litigation. After graduating from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Samantha articled at a full-service Calgary firm and joined Getz, Collins & Associates in 2020 as an Associate. Samantha has appeared before the Alberta Provincial Court and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. She regularly advises clients in employment-related matters, including wrongful dismissals, human rights, and employment standards. Samantha also advises individual and corporate clients on general disputes, contractual disputes and debt claims. Samantha’s client service focuses on identifying the individual needs and circumstances of clients to find practical solutions to issues that cater to the priorities, objectives and limitations of each client.
During law school, Samantha volunteered as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Refugee Advocacy Association of Dalhousie and the Co-President of the Dalhousie Acappellants a-cappella group. Samantha is still active in the arts community in her free time. She is an Interim Director of ArtsConnex and can be found playing at the occasional open mic night around Calgary.
